During the six years of chasing Derek and Brody (my boys) around, getting them to their camps, cooking class, sports teams, etc., I also ran my bookkeeping company out of my house. That led me to start to work for Big River Mortgage when Brandon (my husband) and Petra (my best friend) opened the doors. I took care of their payroll and books which eventually lead to me being recruited to be a Junior. Processor. When the time came to replace the Head Processor they came to me and I happily accepted the job! I was born in Minot, North Dakota, but moved to Southern California when I was pretty young, so I like to think of myself as a California girl. After meeting my husband at Humboldt State University where I graduated with a degree in Finance, he and I moved to Toronto, Canada. We lasted 2 years in the big city before we realized living that close to 6 million people (including his family – LOL!) was a bit much so we relocated to Missoula, Montana. It was in Missoula that I started in the Title Insurance industry and really enjoyed it! After 5 years, we decided that we needed a little more culture and a bigger city to live in. We needed to find something in between Toronto and Missoula and all arrows pointed to Portland. I love the ocean and Brandon loves the mountains, so Portland was perfect! We have been here for 6 years and it looks like this will be our final destination – We Love It! I am a very detail oriented person who goes above and beyond to get our loans through the system as fast and as easily as possible. I have great relationships with our underwriting and funding staff which leads to quick and efficient loan closings. After spending several years in the title and escrow side of real estate, I took 6 years off to raise my two sons until they were old enough to go to school. That time has come and I get to go back to work full time!
